About Me
I am a qualified and registered BACP counsellor providing counselling for adults and young people. I offer both short-term and open-ended therapy. I have worked in both private and educational settings. I am committed to providing empathic and effective therapy.
My Approach
I understand that sometimes it can be difficult to talk to friends and relatives about how you're feeling. I offer a non-judgmental, empathic and confidential space in which you can explore your experiences and discuss problems and difficulties. Counselling sessions create the time, attention and focus for you to unpack what's going on in your life and find a way forward. I am an integrative practitioner which means that I use a number of theoretical models as appropriate to each individual's needs. My core way of working is Person-Centred, although I do offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for specific problems which may benefit from a more structured approach.
Counselling sessions are a place for you to explore your thoughts, feelings and concerns in a safe environment. I will use knowledge from my training to help you gain a better understanding of yourself, your current situation and your relationships. Research shows that counselling can help us through difficult times and find a way forward.
